The Urban Hunt
The Urban Hunt is a Performance/lecture theatre exploration of the connection between food and death seen through the prism of hunting.
Inspired by the Seattle-based journalist, Brendan Kiley’s article of the same name, the piece questions why hunting is natural in the wilderness, but insane when put into the context of the city? Isn’t it the same animal, the same death, the same meat? Is it a question of squeamishness, enlightened morality, alienation from nature, or simply a denial of death itself?
